Unbuzzed Apparel, LLC was founded by spouses Wendy and Michelle Kautz-Wheeler as a bold expression of identity, lifestyle, and connection—designed for those who choose to live fully without relying on substances.

Michelle, a nurse practitioner and woman in recovery, has spent much of her life navigating addiction, depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. Through her recovery journey, she recognized how deeply culture ties social connection to alcohol and other substances. What she wanted—and struggled to find—was a way to feel confident, connected, and fully herself without compromise.

 

Wendy, who walked alongside Michelle throughout her recovery, experienced the often-overlooked perspective of a supportive partner. She saw firsthand the lack of spaces—and even fewer brands—that reflected a lifestyle centered on presence, clarity, and genuine connection without substances.

 

Together, they created Unbuzzed Apparel as a wearable extension of that lifestyle.

 

Blending Wendy’s leadership experience with Michelle’s lived and clinical insight, Unbuzzed Apparel is more than clothing—it is a statement. Each piece is designed to represent confidence in sobriety, pride in personal growth, and the freedom to show up authentically in every space.

 

As mothers of seven children, Wendy and Michelle are passionate about modeling a life grounded in connection, adventure, and joy. Their approach to life—and to this brand—is rooted in the belief that you do not need substances to celebrate, to belong, or to have fun.
